Ken Barker

Ken is a systems software engineer with over thirty years of experience developing high-integrity real-time systems, over twenty years of which were developing Air Traffic Control systems.

Ken helped to design the Medium Term Conflict Detection and Trajectory Prediction algorithms for NATS’s iFACTS system. His curiosity about how to detect conflicts in the long term led to the invention of our long range conflict detection algorithm.

Nick Korbey

Nick is an Air Transport Pilot and Flying Instructor with over 30 years’ experience in many different types of aircraft ranging from Britten Norman Islanders to Airbus A340s.

He has flown freighters and passengers on both short haul and long haul routes encompassing all of Europe / Middle East; and much of Africa / India / Far East.

As a professional and management pilot, with over thirty years experience across a broad spectrum of flight operations, Nick has a thorough understanding of safety-critical service delivery.

Pete Marshall

Pete is a software engineer and technologist with over twenty five years of experience across multiple domains including:

• aerospace;
• defence;
• telecommunications;
• government systems.

He has a keen interest in software related technologies including modern language development, tools and infrastructure.

Eurocontrol Performance Review Unit (PRU)

From October 2017 until November 2018 Via Technology Ltd. of Poole, Dorset United Kingdom worked under contract for the EUROCONTROL Performance Review Unit.

There were two contracts - the first contract was for the production of the “Trajectories Production via Cloud Based Analytics” software. There was also a follow-on contract to create a “Trajectories Pipeline System” optimising the Trajectories Production software and enabling it to be horizontally scaled on a Kubernetes cluster.

We found Via Technology to be a professional company. They delivered their work to a high standard and always within deadline. In addition, they were up-to-date in their knowledge of the latest developments in wider industry, and they reflected this knowledge in their work outputs for us. They represented good value for money.

I would add that Via Technology fulfilled their contractual obligations to our satisfaction. They readily adapted to take into consideration minor alterations to the contract specification which arose as the project evolved.

I have no hesitation in recommending Via Technology, on the basis of the work that they have done for us.
